Prenatal and Newborn Chiropractic Care

Pregnancy is a wonderful time of joy and excitement as parents wait in great anticipation to meet their new addition. However for some women pregnancy may be a period of stress, pain and discomfort. Chiropractic care can help your pregnancy to be as healthy and comfortable as possible for you and for your baby. Pregnant moms who have chiropractic care regularly throughout their pregnancies are generally more comfortable and have less pain. Additionally getting mom’s spine and pelvis balanced and properly aligned relieves a lot of physical stress during pregnancy and can potentially lead to an easier and more natural birth. We understand that a healthier mom means a healthier baby, and that is possible through all natural chiropractic care.

Chiropractic Care and Fertility

The most common medical treatments today include prescription drugs or surgery. For men, these may include antibiotics, insemination or surgery to open blocked areas.  For women, many of the drugs are hormone-related and are given to override the women’s natural hormonal cycle. Fertility treatments are also very costly, up to $15,000 for each round of IVF, with no guarantees that it will work. Many couples have to repeat the procedure 2 or 3 times.

A number of studies have shown that chiropractic care can be very beneficial for treating infertility.  Chiropractic adjustments may help to stabilize the autonomic nervous system and allow the reproductive organs, such as the uterus, ovaries, or prostate, to function properly. If there is a structural reason for the infertility, such as an imbalance of the pelvic floor muscles or uneven tension in the uterus, chiropractic adjustments can help restore normal function to the area. Chiropractic is a great place to start because it is safe, effective, non-invasive and cost effective.

Couples often feel more comfortable using a more natural approach. With any health issue, it is important to find the cause of the problem and fix it, not just to cover up symptoms or override the body’s natural systems.  Alternative and natural treatments are designed to work with your body, not against it.  Finding a qualified natural practitioner may be your first step in your journey to conception. Most natural treatments are safer, have fewer side effects, are less stressful, cost less, and do not increase the risk of having multiples.

Children and Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic adjustments for children are age and condition appropriate which means they are specially delivered to make them as effective and comfortable as possible. Chiropractic care can have a very positive effect on babies, growing children, kids with developmental delays and/or spectrum challenges and offers relief for many conditions by clearing tension and balancing the spine and nerve system.

Babies and children are especially susceptible to spinal and nerve system insults due to birth trauma, exposure to medications, chemicals and toxins in vaccines, genetically modified foods and and artificial food additives. Chiropractic care is a natural for overall childhood wellness and is known to help colic, latching problems, ear infections, bedwetting, reflux, frequent colds, allergies, asthma and trauma from falls and car accidents. Some other reasons children receive chiropractic care include constipation, respiratory challenges, digestive disturbances, back pain, headaches and scoliosis.
