  •  It is made up of 24 individual spinal bones called vertebrae.
  • There are 7 vertebrae in your neck… same as a giraffe.
  • Your spinal cord is contained and protected inside your spine in the spinal canal.
  • There are more than 100 joints in your spine. It is held together by 120 muscles and more than 220 ligaments.
  •  Your spine is the “lifeline of your body” carrying more than one million electrical nerve messages between your brain and your body everyday.
  • Misalignments in the spine are called subluxations, which in Latin means “minor dislocation”.
  •  Your spinal cord is approximately 18 inches long and is as big around as your index finger.
  •  There are seven cervical (neck) vertebrae, twelve thoracic (mid-back) vertebrae and five lumbar (lower-back) vertebrae.
  • Subluxations are very common and are caused by slips, falls, car accidents, poor posture, stress, sports impacts/injuries and the birthing process.
  • Subluxation irritate the nerves exiting the spine and can cause all sorts of health problems.
  • A spine that is kept properly aligned on a regular basis will almost never develop arthritis or degenerate.
